Using the Live National Webinars as a Local Event
Your Chapter can host a Society-produced webinar! Webinars can provide great networking, recruiting, and educational opportunities, and most are free. All that's required is a single, registered participant and a computer with internet access and speakers (you have the option of using a speakerphone instead of your computer speakers for the audio). We suggest having a projector and screen as well. You can also access the speaker’s PowerPoint slides separately and provide attendees with a hard copy or electronic version.
CE credits are frequently available for the webinars (CFP®, CPE/accounting, and PACE/PRCE; occasionally CLE/legal). Credits are pending approval. Your attendees can earn the CE credits at your Chapter-hosted live webinar for a fee of $5.00 per credit/certificate. In order to obtain the Certificates of Completion for your attendees, Chapters must send an attendance list to Society Headquarters after the program, listing the names, email addresses, and signatures of those attendees that need credit, as well as the CFP® and CPE license numbers. The attendance list must also include the name of the Chapter Officer who monitored the program. Click here for a sample CE sign-in sheet, or you can create your own. Payment must be received before any certificates will be emailed and/or CE credits processed. Note that the Society of FSP National does not apply for state insurance CE credits for webinars, but Society Chapters that host webinars may apply directly for state credits.
